Staff Training
In order to have an effective cleaning and sanitization program, the team’s health, safety, and knowledge are vital. Accordingly, all colleagues have received specific training on WHO and Ministry of Health approved COVID-19 preventive and responsive protocols which include but are not limited to Hand Hygiene, Respiratory Hygiene, Physical Distancing, Cleaning and Sanitizing best practices, Safe Food Handling and Food Hygiene. Our Health & Hygiene manager personally reviews and ensures all protocols are stringently followed.
Temperature Screening
Temperature screening is implemented at all entrance points, including both for guests and employees.
Physical Distancing
We are practicing physical distancing throughout the hotel
The number of guests accessing services at any one time will be controlled and a queue control system consistent with physical distancing advice is established.
Floor markings such as with tape are provided to facilitate distancing as well as in common areas.
Space tables ideally 2 meters apart in dining areas.
Any other facilities available in a common area or for common use such as gym equipment must be at least 1 meter apart.
The number of staff in one specific area at any one time should be limited. Staff can be organized into groups or teams to minimize interaction between groups.
Hygiene Practices
We have committed to hand washing and drying facilities and foot pedal operated bins in key locations
Adequate numbers of hand sanitizing stations are provided at entry points or specific areas not in immediate vicinity of hand washing facility e.g. reception area.
Although food has not been identified as a likely source of COVID 19 transmission, food handlers are always committed to observe good hygiene practices during operation.
All equipment, utensils, crockery, and cutlery are properly cleaned and disinfected after each use.
We are also committed to encourage guests to practice hand hygiene before eating.
Cleaning and Sanitization protocols
We have enhanced our already rigorous cleaning protocols as recommended by Seychelles Health authorities in cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-the-house areas.
We have increased the frequency of cleaning of all high-touch areas and public areas that affect guests and employees.
The cleaning of all hard surfaces e.g. floors, desks, countertops, are enhanced at intervals, using standard disinfectant bleach solution or mixture containing at least 70% alcohol.
Cleaning of all soft or porous surfaces e.g. carpets, rug and drapes follows the guidelines of public health authority.
The necessary PPE is available for use. Staff will make use of disposable gloves when handling dirty materials such as laundry, and discard gloves after each use. Hand washing is practiced immediately after removing gloves.
If not disposable, cleaning and disinfecting of any materials is followed according to the guidance for environmental cleaning.
Any other facilities available in a common area or for common use such as gym equipment, massage tables etc. will be disinfected between guests.
Physically Distant yet Connected
Guests can communicate their requests directly through their phones via our WhatsApp messenger service without using the house phones. Services such as room service, room amenities, and laundry can be packaged and delivered at the door on the request of guest
